Srpske snage u opštini Foča, koje su činile Vojska Republike Srpske i paravojne grupe, napale su 3. jula 1992. Trošanj, ubijale zarobljene muškarce, a žene i djevojčice zatočile na više mjesta u opštini Foča, gdje su bile izložene seksualnom nasilju. Pripadnici ovih snaga osuđeni su pred MKSJ i Sudom BiH.

When the war reached Foča in April 1992, Witness 87 was fifteen years old. After the attack of Serb forces on Trošanj on 3 July 1992, in which her father was killed, she was held for nine months in a series of places in the Foča municipality and subjected to sexual violence, and was then taken to Montenegro. Her testimony before the Hague Tribunal contributed to the conviction of Dragoljub Kunarac and Radomir Kovač in the first case in which an international court classified rape and enslavement as crimes against humanity.
